Xikar

American brand founded in 1996 by Kurt Van Keppel and Scott Almsberger, specialising in innovative accessories for cigar smokers. The name Xikar combines the words "cigar" and "cutter", with the "S" replaced by "X" for a more modern look and sound, a decision that helped make Xikar one of the best-known cigar accessory brands in the world. The brand was born from Van Keppel's desire to improve the cigar cutters available on the market, which did not adequately meet functionality expectations. Xikar produces butane lighters designed to work at high altitudes, precision cigar cutters including the iconic Xi2 and the spring-loaded XO, humidifiers, ashtrays and travel cases. In 2014 the Xi cigar cutter was even named an icon in the United States by the patent office and its design is protected by Trade Dress trademark. Xikar has built a solid reputation with a lifetime warranty on every product, confirming itself as a leading cigar accessories brand in specialist shops.
