Work Sharp

American brand based in Ashland, Oregon, specialising in the design and production of knife and tool sharpening tools, part of Darex LLC, a family-run company with over 50 years of history in professional sharpening technologies. Work Sharp was founded in 2007 by Darex LLC, while Darex itself dates back to 1973 in the state of Illinois. The brand is particularly known for electric sharpeners that use flexible abrasive belts, a technology that quickly sharpens a wide variety of blades (kitchen knives, hunting knives, scissors, axes and garden tools) while easily creating a robust convex edge. The well-known American knifemaker Ken Onion is involved in its development, and many interesting products have been created with him. The products are designed, tested and calibrated in Ashland, Oregon, making high-precision sharpening accessible even to non-experts.
