Niteize

American company founded in 1989 by Rick Case in Boulder, Colorado, specialising in the design and production of innovative accessories for outdoor, DIY and consumer electronics. The story began when Case, a young student at the University of Colorado Boulder, devised a headband with a torch holder to improve his night-time outdoor activities, making dozens of accessories by hand and selling them to local retailers. In 1991, when REI agreed to sell the headband, Case realised he had a profitable business. In its first decade he developed more than 15 tools based on light technology, then diversified into double carabiners, snap hooks and magnetic smartphone mounts. Today the Boulder-based manufacturer designs and markets over 500 products: LED torches, Gear Ties, mounts, clips, mobile phone accessories and practical solutions for outdoor and everyday use, becoming one of the largest outdoor brands in Colorado.
